So far, 2008 has been an exciting year for me and for my music.

CONCERTS FOR ADULTS AND GENERAL AUDIENCES: I have a new concert for adults that's so much fun for me: "Songs from Musicals--A Sing-Along Concert." I pass out songbooks to the audience and we sing the hits from "The Sound of Music," "My Fair Lady," "Oklahoma!" "Kiss Me Kate," and "The Wizard of Oz." (I call the "Wizard of Oz" a musical, so that we can sing "Over the Rainbow" and "If I Only Had a Brain"!)

I continue to give my concerts entitled "Gershwins to Now!--Favorites from the 1930s to Today," "Patriotic Concert," "Sing-Along Holiday Concert," and "The Music of Tin Pan Alley, 1920 - 1940" to large audiences in libraries and park districts across the state. I'm giving about 100 concerts per year these days! I love singing popular standards such as "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie," "I Got Rhythm," and "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter."

SCHOOL PROGRAMS: I'm giving many programs in schools this year for grades preK through 3rd grade, as well as smaller workshops in the classroom. My assembly programs in schools include "Move and Groove Songs," Wiggle and Giggle," "Camp Song Sing-Along," and "Trick or Treat Halloween Concert."

CONCERTS FOR CHILDREN IN LIBRARIES: I've had such fun this year giving programs for children in libraries, including "Trick or Treat Halloween Concert," "Sing-Along Holiday Concert, for All Ages," and "Delicious Food Songs." My suitcase of props is ever-growing, and I meet the most creative, wonderful, and imaginative children at these shows. I also have brand new concerts for children that I am so excited about:

* "Bouncing Baby Songs"
* "Camp Songs Sing-Along"
* "Hop into Springtime"
* "Wiggle and Giggle Songs"

Feel free to e-mail me for more information at: Cat@CatCatalani.com.

FOLK VENUES EMPHASIZING MY ORIGINAL SONGS AND CONTEMPORARY FOLK MUSIC: I'm excited about my upcoming performance at Lake County Folk Club on May 18, 2008. I'm opening for Kat Eggleston. (Click on my Tour Calendar page for more details.) Highlights for me recently have been my standing-room-only performance at Charlie's Coffeehouse in Wilmette, Edgar's Place Coffeehouse in Park Forest near Chicago, performances at Bill's Blues, Uncommon Ground, and Heartland Cafe, and performing at the Fox Valley Folk Festival.

I am grateful to all of you who are coming to my concerts, giving me a warm welcome when I travel, and supporting my efforts with your enthusiasm and best wishes. I hope to see you again soon along the folk road!
